Product of Belgium, blond top fermented abbey ale brewed according to the purity law of 1516. Brewed by the Brouwerij Sterkens, in Meer, Belgium. Bought at HEB in Cinco Ranch, TX and drunk at home in Katy, TX on Sunday afternoon while preparing lunch with Patricia of fried rice with peas and red pepper with baked beans and roast chicken breast. Sold in a 16 fluid oz ceramic bottle with a resealable top.
brewery web site: http://www.sterkensbrew.be/brands.htm
The web site says: "Heavy top-fermented beer with a soft malty flavour." 7.7% ABV.
I enjoyed this beer a lot, it poured nicely with a good head and had lots of flavor and pleasant mouth feel when being drunk.
