Abita Brewing Purple Haze
Brewed by Abita Brewing Co, Abita Springs, LA. Bought and drunk at L'Auberge Du Lac hotel and casino, Lake Charles, LA while on a day trip with Pat and Colin. The Jack Daniels bar and restaurant was dark even though we were under a light, so this is the best I could do without the flash Apple is supposed to have put on the phone 3 generations after mine.
The bottle says this is a raspberry wheat brew - a malt beverage with raspberries added. An interesting smell to the beer, you can certainly smell the raspberries though the raspberry taste is much less than the smell implies. After getting over the raspberry smell and taste that was unexpected I quite enjoyed the beer.
