Beer 173 - Real Ale Brewhouse Brown Ale

Brewed and bottle in Blanco, TX.  Bought at Randalls Grocery, Houston and drunk at home in Katy, TX while typing this blog

web site: http://realalebrewing.com/home

The bottle says "Brewhouse brown ale - rich, malty and dry - a full bodied American brown ale."  The web site backs this up with "Caramel brown with a hint of chocolate, Brewhouse Brown melds four kinds of malt and American hops into a delicious dark ale. Rich and roasty, yet with a dry finish, it is the perfect companion for a hearty meal. ABV: 5.40%    IBU: 33.00    OG (plato): 13.00."

I was a little disappointed with the taste of this beer.  It did not have a lot of body (certainly not full bodied) and it was a little sharp on the aftertaste.  There was no smell discernible and only the merest hint of chocolate in the taste.
