Brewed in either Boston, MA or Cincinnati, OH, bought at HEB Grocery and drunk at home in Katy as an aperitif before dinner wit Patricia.
The bottle says "Smooth and rich, Samuel Adams cream stout is brewed with extra portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts, roasted barley and hand selected English hops. Tradition has it that ale drinkers of Samuel Adams' day considered all other stouts to be merely milk. This was the cream. Cheers!"
i was not overly enamoured with this beer. It smelt and tasted a little like burnt toast and old coffee. The bitterness did not seem to be a part of the normal hoppiness and detracted from the taste. This is not one to com back too.
