Brewed by the Kona Brewing Co in Portsmouth NH for the Kona brewery, Kona, HI. Bought at HEB Grocery and drunk at home in Katy after grocery shopping at Walmart.
The brewery web site http://konabrewingco.com/ is complete with HI music and a nifty gecko.
The bottle says "Pipeline Porter is full bodied with a rich smooth dark-roasted malt flavor, A selection of premium hops and 100% Hawaiian Kona coffee complete this limited brew."
A very dark beer with an interesting, if somewhat disconcerting taste. Slightly sweet with a discernible coffee taste and aftertaste. I think to enjoy this beer fully, it will have to be drunk with beef stew or beef and potato soup with dark Russian bread. Yummi.
