Beer 261 - Samuel Smith's Old Brewery Pale Ale (3.5 stars out of 5)

Brewed at the old brewery, Tadcaster, Yorkshire, England.  Bought at HEB in Cinco Ranch and drunk at home in Katy, while preparing dinner.

The brewery web site: http://www.samuelsmithsbrewery.co.uk/oldbrewerypaleale.html

The web site says "Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); best barley malt, yeast and aromatic hops; fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’ to create a full, rounded flavour and after-taste.
Serving Suggestions • Old Brewery Pale Ale drinks well with foods like: roast beef and Yorkshire pudding; roast chicken; cheese; smoked salmon; crab salad; bouillabaisse; sushi; steak; spicy foods like Tandoori and Balti cuisine.
Best served at about 51°F (11°C)."

An enjoyable beer, though the body was not quite what I expected.  The beer is nicely balanced with no hints of bitterness in the taste or aftertaste, it just tasted a little watery after the full bodied beers of the last few days.
