Brewed by Tsingtao Brewery in Qingdao, China. Bought at HEB in Cinco ranch and drunk at home while preparing dinner.
The web site: http://tsingtaobeer.com/home_lager.php has some interesting graphics
The web site says "Tsingtao Lager has a crisp, slightly malty flavor and nutty sweet taste which complements spicy or flavorful Asian cuisine. Tsingtao Lager is brewed with the finest all-natural ingredients including domestically-grown hops, high quality barley and spring water from China's Laoshan mountain region. 4.8% Alcohol by volume"
Opening the bottle and drinking the beer was a reminder of the time I lived in China, in Guangzhou, on the Pearl river in south eastern China. I didn't like the beer then and it doesn't seem to have improved in taste or body since then. This is China's attempt to emulate the worst aspects of mass produced American beer. I used to look forward longingly to weekends in Hong Kong, where I could find a good British pub and enjoy a refreshing pint of English bitter.
