Beer 388 - Saint Arnold Weedwacker (3.5 stars out of 5)

Brewed and bottled by Saint Arnold Brewing Company in Houston, TX.  Bought at HEB in Cinco Ranch, TX and drunk at home in Katy, TX while preparing dinner as Sofia and Patricia worked on Sofia's calculus test.  The third of four tests.

Brewery web site:  http://www.saintarnold.com/beers/index.html

The web site says “Weedwacker is essentially a Bavarian hefeweizen. Except it isn’t. Weedwacker is exactly the same beer as Fancy Lawnmower Beer but we ferment it with Bavarian hefeweizen yeast instead of kölsch yeast. It is light and refreshing but has a spicy clove note and some banana esters that come from the different yeast. While it is a close relation to Lawnmower, it tastes completely different. Also, Weedwacker is our only unfiltered year-round beer. Expect to see some yeast at the bottom of the bottle. 4.9% ABV”

I enjoyed this beer, it was light and refreshing and a pleasure to drink
