Beer 83 - Steinlager Classic
September 30, 2010, Beer 83
Steinlager Classic
Brewed in Auckland, New Zealand bought at Spec's Liquor, Houston and drunk at home in Katy with Gloucester and Blue Stilton cheese.
The bottle says "One way to convince you that New Zealand has the purest water in the world is to bottle it. We have now added some hops and barley giving you New Zealand's finest beer. No additives, no preservatives."
An interesting taste, stronger in flavor than the yellow color suggests but the flavor is all in the mouth. There is very little aftertaste. There is no bitterness, in fact there is the merest hint of sweetness. A pleasant brew but not one to search after.
