Beer 82 - Stone Brewing Pale Ale
September 29, 2010, Beer 82
Stone Brewing Co Pale Ale
Brewed in Escondido , San Diego County, CA. Bought at Spec's Liquor, Houston and drunk at home in Pearland while cooking dinner of sausage, egg and beans, yum.
The bottle says a lot in very small print "gargoyle - a fearsome figure carved from stone that has powers to ward off evil spirits. Our Stone Gargoyle wards off modem day evil spirits such as chemical preservatives, additives and adjuncts. One taste and you can tell he does the job very well.
Stone Pale Ale: exciting times here at Stone Brewing. We've just moved into our new brewery - built ground up to our specifications - and the beer in your hand is one of the first from our brand new brewing system. Tastes terrific doesn't it? Think it tastes even better than before? Well thanks, but we'll remind you it has always tasted this good. It's amazing how our complex and sophisticated enables us to stay true to the simplicity of our brewing methods so successfully. And it's amazing how the simplicity of our brewing methods allows us to produce a beer of such beautiful complexity.
Ingredients: nothing but barley, hops, water and yeast. Enjoy by 12 01 10"
Patricia didn't like the beer at the first taste or the aftertaste, it was too bitter, she is forever going to compare beers to the exquisite Chimay.
I liked the slight bite at first taste and the slight bitterness of the hops. The aftertaste was pleasant enough that I will come back to this beer.
