Brewed at the City Steam Brewery Café, a 15 barrel brew-house in an historic Romanesque building downtown Hartford, CT that was once a department store. The name comes partly from the Hartford Steam Company which supplies steam heating and chilled water to heat and cool many downtown buildings. The brewery-café is next door to the Residence Inn, which occupies the rest of the historic building.

The web site says; “A very serious PALE ALE. German bittering hops couple with West Coast Amarrillo
hops to create an intensely bitter mouth feel and warm citrus aroma. 15Plato (approx 6% alc/vol)”
I enjoyed the beer and the Figgy Piggy (pork tenderloin marinated in cider brine, with a fig port wine rosemary sauce). The beer complimented the food and washed it down well.
