Samuel Adams Black and Brew

Brewed by the Boston Beer Company, given to me by my friend Rusty and drunk at home in Katy, TX after a long day loading boxes and other stuff into PODS number 3, for storage and eventual move to our new house. The day would not have been successful without the help of one of Sofia's friends from school, Ruben, who worked like a horse all afternoon to get boxes and bikes and wood for our hurricane protection system loaded into the pod. The pod will be picked up on Tuesday and taken to storage until we need it. This whole exercise was because the realtor selling the house - Beverly - who sold my house in Pearland requested that the house be made less cluttered so buyers can see the house and not all of our stuff that is in the house.

Now to make dinner of turkey burgers, oven fries and asparagus and also make our lunches for tomorrow with the usual fruit and cheese and turkey ham.

I enjoyed this beer, the coffee flavor was a nice nuance in the back ground. The bottle says "our coffee stout is a full-bodied rich stout that supports the espresso character of the coffee. We use 1.5 lbs of Sumatran coffee per barrel. Rich and tasty, the flavor leads with coffee and follows with underlying notes of chocolate, caramel and dark fruit. Cheers."
