Beer 395 - Rince Cochon

Graham's Score 4 stars out of 5

Beer brewed for Difcom, Villeneuve.d'Ascq, France by Brasserie Haacht, Boortmeerbeek, Belgium.  Bought by my friend and colleague Peter during his vacation in Paris and drunk at home in Katy, TX while preparing pork chops, boiled potatoes, carrots and bisto gravy for dinner.
Haacht Brewery web site:  http://www.haacht.com/jsp/index.jsp?language=En&tmplt_folderid=150 makes no mention of Rince Cochon

The bottle says (in French”) “Blond beer of high fermentation has basis of hops, barley, malt, and yeast. Brewed in Flanders .Alc 8.5% Vol.”
I enjoyed this beer, it was light in color, refreshing, well balanced and a pleasure to drink, The beer was clean on the palate with a nice body and flavor.

The 15 people who have rated this beer at RateBeer.com gave mixed reviews..  (http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/haacht-rince-cochon/126555/ ) They gave it an average score 0f 2.97 which puts it in the 45th  percentile overall and the 13th percentile for its style of Belgium Strong Ale.

3 people on BeerAdvocate.com reviewed a Rince Cochon from Brouwerij Roman NV, Belgium.  It Is impossible for me to say whether or not the two breweries are the same, I cannot find any information on the internet in English to confirm or deny.
