Brewed in NE US (see beer 21 for more info on Sam Adams breweries) bought and drunk at the lobby bar in the Renaissance Hotel, Los Angeles airport, where I stayed the night before an 5:20 am flight in the morning back to Houston.
In the dim light of the bar on a black table the beer is the color of light brown shoe polish. The head dissipates quickly leaving a slight foam on the surface. Sam Adams brews a nice beer that is not to be confused with an English lager though it has the same name. This beer has a full bodied taste with a little bitterness on the back and top of the tongue. The aftertaste stays quite a while, lingering so you can savor the taste and wait a while before the next sip. This is a sipping beer for enjoying with friends and solving the problems of the world.
