Brewed and bottled by Rogue Brewing in Newport, OR. Bought at HEB in Cinco Ranch and drunk at home in Katy while prepaiong dinner and then finished off after dinner.
The brewry web site: http://rogue.com/beers/mocha-porter.php
The web site says: "Dedicated to the chocolate lover in each of us. Mocha Porter was once known as New Porter, in honor of the town of Newport, Oregon and home of Rogue Ales. Style: Porter Food Pairing: Beef, Deserts. Tasting Notes: Ruddy brown in color, a bittersweet balance of malt and hops with a light cream finish. 54 IBU,"
It is now confirmed without a shadow of a doubt that I am not an afficianado of i.e. I do not like, beers that have a chocolate flavor. This beer had a pronounced chocolate flavor presumeably from the Beeston Chocolate malt used in brewing. So I must try chocolate or coffee flavored beers with deserts of Black Forest cake if they are to have a chance.
