Beer 94 - Abita Brewing Jockamo IPA
October 10, 2010, beer 94
Abita Brewing Jockamo IPA
Brewed and bottled in Abita Springs, LA, bought at HEB Grocery, Pearland, TX and drunk at home in Katy, TX while watching the NASCAR Sprint cup race from California on TV.
The bottle says "For more than two centuries, tribes of singing, chanting "Mardi GRAS Indians"have appeared on the streets of New Orleans wearing elaborate, handcrafted "suits" of beads and feathers.
They celebrate traditions and cultures as bold and beautiful as their costumes. Abita Jockamo is crafted the traditional way to create a bold and flavorful India Pale Ale that stomps and shouts. When you hear the drums, join in the song. Iko! Iko! Jockamo fen an e'."
A nice beer with a lot of flavor and a slight bite from the hops. Pleasant to sip and enjoy.
