Shiner Kosmos Reserve
Brewed in Shiner, TX bought at HEB Grocery and drunk at home in Katy while waiting for the smoke in the kitchen to dissipate after putting too much olive oil on the potatoes I just put in the oven to bake. Cough! Cough!
The label says: Kosmos Spoetzl knew how to brew great beer. Born in Bavaria, Kosmos mastery of German brewing carried him as far as Egypt before he found his way to the small Texas town of Shiner. Our proud brewery still carries his name and commitment to excellence in brewing. This Full flavored hop jacked lager is every bit as unique as the man himself and our way of saluting the brew master who started it all. No dates on the bottle. The taste of the hops remains in the mouth after drinking, a little bitter without the real satisfacton of a full flavor. Not unpleasant but not pleasing either. Not a beer I would order again for my rather simple tastes.
