Beer 219 - Maredsous Triple (4 stars out of 5)

Brewed and bottled by Duvel Moorgat, Puurs, Belgium.  Bought at HEB and drunk at home while trying to set up my new laptop and find the product key for MS Office 2010.

the web site of the abbey (in English): http://www.maredsous.be/index.php?id=1456&L=2

The bottle says "Maredsous Triple is a high fermentation abbey beer, brewed in accordance with the Benedictine tradition of the community of Maredsous Abbey.    The beer is fermented in the bottle during the two month aging period.  Maredsous Triple should ideally be served at a temperature of 42-50 deg F.  Contains barley malt.  10% alc/vol."  The web site adds "Its elegant smoothness hides its alcohol content and makes it the connoisseurs beer. A golden bodied Belgian Triple, redolent with festive sparkle, creamy body and a luscious head."

A delightful beer, strong and full bodied and well balanced, a pleasure to drink, but the alcohol stands out a little and makes it difficult to enjoy more than one.  But still, one of these a day and I would be a happy camper!!
