Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA

Brewed by the Boston Beer Company, 5.8%alc/vol, to be enjoyed before Aug 2013. Wheat ale brewed with apricots and spices. Drunk at home in Katy, TX, with a cheese sandwich made from an "energy bar" bought at the Randall's deli.

The bottle says "this flavor packed brew draws inspiration from two distinct styles, the white ales of Belgium and American IPAs. But while a fusion of the two, it's more than the sum of both, exhibiting a harmony of crisp wheat character, bright pine and citrus flavors, and just a hint of orange peel. Cheers!"

The balance did not taste quite right to me, something a little bitter in the aftertaste.
