Beer 325 - Full Sail LTD #4 (3 stars out of 5)

Brewed by the Full Sail Brewing Co, Hood River, OR.  Bought at HEB in Cinco Ranch and drunk at home in Katy, TX while trying to figure out what is going to happen next in the stock market so I can adjust my portfolio accordingly.  Just subscribed to a new Motley Fool service that is going to guide me to growing my retirement over the next year.  I beat the S&P by 2% in the past year, but I often feel like I'm flying by the seat of my pants, so MF will bring some structure to the process.  To pay for the service I must better the S&P by at least five points, otherwise I might just as well put my money in an ETF and forget about it - but that's no fun, so instead I'll spend Sunday afternoon each week with a nice beer or two, the Motley Fool newsletter and the internet, figuring out how to beat the market.  Watch this space for more developments.

The web site says "What do you get when you brew an elegant limited edition lager with one select barley? LTD 04, the single malt of beers! This brand new edition to our LTD Series is a finely balanced single malt, single hop, beer that is pale-golden in color and brewed with just pale malt and pleasantly hopped with just Willamette hops. ABV 7% IBU 45
LIVING THE DREAM
LTD means Limited Edition. But around here it means something even more: Live The Dream. We're doing something every brewer dreams of: Concocting an ever-changing series of small batch beers, available for a limited time only. Each new LTD Series brew will showcase an original lager recipe, pimped out by our ace crew of libationary wunderkinds.
LTD is dedicated to everyone who's livin' the dream whatever that dream might be. We started Full Sail to make killer beer - goes without saying. But more importantly, we started it to live our dream: To seek that perfect balance between work and play, art and commerce, friends and family. It's not always easy being independent. In fact, it's almost never easy. But there's no other way we'd have it. If you're living your dream, props to you. Peace.- The Full Sail Crew."

So that is what the brewery thinks of their beer.  I agree with the sentiment and like their commitment to brewing good beer in small batches.  This was a pleasant beer, easy to drink and very quaffable, but there wasn't anything in the taste to make it stand out above others of its type.  Nice, I'd drink it again, but wouldn't go out of my way to search it out.
