Beer 314 - Widmer Drifter Pale Ale (3 stars out of 5)

Widmer Brothers Brewing Company, Portland, OR.  Bought at HEB in Cinco Ranch and drunk at home in Katy, TX while relaxing after stopping for a drink at Belvedere in Uptown Park near the Galleria then a blue cheese hamburger for dinner at Cafe Express in the same center, Patricia had a Swiss and mushroom burger.  We were supposed to meet Dossie and friends for a drink on her birthday, but they didn't get to the Belvedere until after we were long gone.

web site: http://www.widmer.com/beer_drifter.aspx

The web site says "With its unique citrus character, smooth drinkability, and distinctive hop character, Drifter Pale Ale is truly an original. Brewed with generous amounts of Summit hops, a variety known for their intense citrus flavors and aromas, Drifter has a taste unique to the Pale Ale category. True to style, the bittering hops are perceptible enough to give the beer a crisp, clean, quenching finish, yet also soft enough to keep the beer smooth and balanced.  5.75% ABV,"

Pleasant enough, though not much body and a little bitter on the aftertaste.
